Sharp unveils gargantuan 90-inch Aquos LED LCD HDTV

Following the “Feel UX” new UI that Sharp announced today, the Japanese consumer electronics company is also announcing the availability of its behemoth 90-inch Aquos LED LCD HDTV. If you think that you’ve seen one of these around, then it’s probably the 80-inch Sharp AQUOS LC-80LE632U LED LCD TV that we wrote about last year. Apparently it looks like Sharp is ramping up the size of its TVs each year.

The Aquos LC-90LE745U HDTV features a built-in Wi-Fi and Sharp’s SmartCentral hub with access to Netflix, Hulu Plus, YouTube, CinemaNow, and Vudu. The 90-inch LC-90LE745U will also be equipped with a web browser and support for Skype, with an optional webcam functionality. Sharp said that the HDTV uses less than 150 watts of power and that it costs an average of $28 per year to operate. The AQUOS LC-90LE745U is now available at home entertainment retailers for the price of $10,999.
