Chevy Sonic And Spark With Siri Eye Free Integration

Chevrolet, a subdivision of General Motors, has announced that its Sonic and Spark models will be delivered with Siri integration in MyLink, Chevy’s infotainment system. The pledge was made in June 2012 .”The Chevy Sonic and Spark are the first vehicles to offer Siri Eyes Free integration,” said Cristi Landy, Chevrolet marketing director for small cars. “Safe, easy, reliable and portable connectivity is a top priority for our customers, and Siri complements MyLink’s existing capabilities to help deliver an incredible driving experience.Users can hook up their iOS 6 iPhones to MyLink via Bluetooth. They can then perform standard operations like making voice-activated phone calls, composing text messages, playing songs from iTunes and accessing calendar functions. A button in the steering wheel will be used to activate and deactive Siri. Users can also ask Siri questions about locations or recommendations and can even keep the screen from lighting up. Existing owners can get their MyLink radios upgraded for Siri compatibility starting March 2013.

Honda is also all set to launch Siri integration in its Accord and Acura models of 2013, but Chevy has taken the lead in all the 9 automakers who wanted to put this kind of technology in their cars.  Would you like the Siri Eye Free Integration technology in your car?
