iOS 6.1.3 Beta Addresses iPhone Passcode Security Exploit

An exploit was discovered last week which made it possible for anyone to access information on an iPhone running iOS 6.1 equipped with a passcode with very little effort. Days later , Apple announced it would be working on a fix for the exploit to be released as fast as possible. Today, we’re seeing Apple has kept its promise as iOS 6.1.3 beta 2 has just been sent out to developers to download.

iOS 6.1.2 was just released a few days ago to help fix issues some Microsoft Exchange users were experiencing as well as some reports of iOS 6.1 causing battery drain issues. Now that iOS 6.1.3 has been sent out to developers and beta testers, we could potentially see two new iOS updates in a single week, which we’re not sure if that’s a good thing or bad thing. Either way, expect iOS 6.1.3 to be available in the very near future, which we have a feeling someone somewhere will find a problem with it as well.
