Earlier this month there were rumors that Canon could be announcing a new DSLR by the end of the month. Some have speculated that it could be the successor to the EOS 60D, and while it remains to be seen, it looks like Canon definitely has something up their sleeves. According to Canon Rumors, Canon has started sending out invites to an event that will be held in the Czech Republic on the 21st of March. Unfortunately apart from the date, time and location, it was not revealed as to what the event could be about. However with previous rumors hinting strongly at a new DSLR announcement, that could indeed be the case. Canon Rumors however thinks the Thursday event is a little off especially since based on their past experience, Canon announcements have typically taken place on Tuesdays and Fridays, but then again it’s Canon’s event to do as they please, so who are we to argue? Either way if the EOS 70D (or whatever it will be called) is of interest to you, check back with us on the 21st of March for the details.
