Samsung Galaxy S4 Costs $249.99 On AT&T With 2-Year Contract

Samsung announced its Galaxy S4 two weeks ago, but didn’t reveal when its partnered carriers would be making the device available and how much it’s going to hurt our wallet in the process. T-Mobile announced the Galaxy S4 would be arriving on its service on May 1, although it didn’t reveal how much it would cost, especially under its new UnCarrier plans. Today, AT&T is making its own Galaxy S4 announcement.

AT&T subscribers looking to pick up the Samsung Galaxy S4 better start saving up as the company announced it would make the device available for $249.99 with a two-year contract. AT&T will begin taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S4 starting on April 16, although no official release date was revealed with today’s news.

$249.99 is certainly higher than most people are comfortable spending for their smartphones with a two-year contract. When the Galaxy S3 was released, it cost $199.99 with two-year contract, but considering how much Samsung threw into its Galaxy S4, we can certainly see why they’d bump the price up. We just hope its customers really want the S4 if it’s going to cost them that much with a two-year contract. Or maybe that extra bump in cost was a result in how much Samsung spent on its marketing for the Galaxy S4.
