Motorola has been under Google’s belt ever since 2011 when it was acquired for $12.5 billion, yet both companies have not come up with a line of devices that can cause a stir in the market. Recent reports indicate that the company is developing an entire line of smartphones called Motorola X. There have also been reports of Motorola developing ‘just right’ sized smartphones with unadulterated version of Android, which will offer an unmatched Android experience. Google Chairman Eric Schmidt definitely has confidence in the company, saying that their new products are “phenomenal.”

While not commenting on exactly what types of devices Motorola is working on, he says that they should be thought of as “phones plus,” and that people should wait on Motorola to see the next generation of technology. “Very, very impressive” is what he had to say about these upcoming devices. The design chief at Motorola recently said that they won’t be taking part in any spec wars, rather they’ll be focusing on providing the best consumer experience. The new devices are expected to be revealed in the second half of 2013.
