Apple finally unveiled its upcoming iOS 7 earlier this week during its keynote speech at WWDC 2013 and has even released a beta version of the software upgrade to developers. As a result, we’re starting learn a bit more of what you can expect out of iOS 7, starting with one feature that can easily be considered long been overdue in the eyes of iOS users.

One of the long-overdue features that looks to have been made available in iOS 7 is being able to access your camera’s zoom controls while shooting video. This feature may not seem like a big deal on the surface, but when you consider how vital the zoom feature can be when taking still photos depending on how far your subject is, zooming while recording video seems like one of these no-brainer features that should have been included in iOS a long time ago.

When iOS 7 releases, the way zooming while taking video will be initiated is simply by using pinch gestures in order to order the camera to zoom in and out. When videos are zoomed in, iOS users will also be able to tap-to-focus.
