LG G2 Announced

lg-g2-tmobileAh, the long awaited LG G2 has finally hit the market after being announced at Lincoln Center in New York, marking a global announcement for the new flagship device. The LG G2 intends to approach smartphone design slightly differently, by being ensuring that all of the buttons are located on the rear of the device, which would mean this is the first smartphone in the market to lack any side buttons at all. The idea for a Rear Key concept arrived after LG noticed that users found it more difficult to access the side keys properly the larger a handset is.

By ensuring that the main buttons are behind the smartphone, it offers users more control, as that is where one’s index fingers would be located naturally. Not only that, launching QuickMemo and the camera can be done in a jiffy this time around, and should the LG G2 happen to be lying on a surface face up, you need not lift the handset up to access the power button, since tapping twice on the display as part of the KnockON feature will power on the LG G2.

Other hardware specifications of the LG G2 include a 5.2” Full HD display at 423ppi, making it the largest display available for one-handed operation in the 2.7” width smartphone category. Other than that, LG will use Dual Routing technology to reduce the phone’s bezel to a mere 2.65mm on the side edge. A quad-core 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processing runs proceedings from within, accompanied by 2GB RAM, a choice of 16GB or 32GB of internal memory, a 13-megapixel shooter at the back with Optical Image Stabilization and a front-facing 2.1-megapixel camera, a 3,000mAh battery and Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Jelly Bean right out of the box.
