Alleged Low-Cost Moto X Spotted At The FCC

dvx-blackWe have been hearing rumors that Motorola could be introducing a low-cost version of their Moto X smartphone. One of the main differences that the low-cost Moto X will have with its regular Moto X is that it will have swappable back panels. At the moment the back panels on the Moto X are factory set, meaning that users are pretty much stuck with what they’ve got, while the low-cost version will allow users to swap between different colored back panels, at least that’s what the rumors are saying. Now thanks to a recent FCC filing, certifications for a trio of Motorola devices, the XT1032, the XT1033, and the XT1035 have been revealed.

These devices are speculated to the be the low-cost Moto X, which has also been referred to as the Motorola DVX and this is a moniker that has been used in retailers. The FCC documents note that the three devices are of the same family, just with hardware differences. No word on when Motorola could be announcing the rumored Motorola DVX, but one retailer actually expects to get them in stock on the 16th of September, which to us seems like wishful thinking and feels more like a placeholder date of sorts. In any case check back with us at a later date for additional details.
