Microsoft Wants To Fix Technical Glitch On Xbox Live Arcade

xbla-glitchIt seems that Microsoft has not yet managed to fix what they consider to be a “technical glitch” that currently affects thousands of downloadable Xbox 360 games. Apparently, it was reported that problems started to creep up on Thursday when users noticed that titles from the Xbox Live Arcade and Xbox Live Indie Games sections of the Xbox Games Store began to play the role of the great Harry Houdini – as they started to disappear.

In fact, Gamasutra claimed that the number of Xbox Live Indie Games dipped to a mere 949 titles yesterday from a total of some 2,100 titles, while Microsoft’s Xbox Live status page did depict that users would run into issues when downloading content on the Xbox 360 console in addition to doing so on the Xbox.com. Not only that, it also points to the Windows 8 Xbox SmartGlass app as being plagued by launching issues.

Microsoft did issue a statement, saying, “We’re aware there is an issue affecting the Xbox Games Store that has temporarily removed some content including Xbox Live Arcade and Xbox Live Indie Games titles. This is a technical glitch and we’re working to fix the issue as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience.” Are you frustrated by this technical glitch?
