Amazon Prime Instant Video subscribers now receive a new cache of movies exclusively as the company has signed a content agreement with independent film studio A24, which is responsible for moves such as The Bling Ring and Spring Breakers. As part of this agreement, all current and upcoming movies by A24 studio will be available on Amazon Instant Prime a short while after they’re released on DVD and Blu-ray. Instant Prime is going to be the “exclusive premium streaming home” of A24’s movies.
With the announcement, four movies have already been added to the lineup. These include Spring Breakers, starring the likes of James Franco, Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez. Elle Fanning and Annette Bening’s Ginger & Rosa, the based on real events and Emma Watson starring The Bling Ring as well as The Spectacular Now starring Miles Teller and Shailene Woodley. Upcoming releases such as The Rover, and Under The Skin will be added after they’re released on DVD and Blu-ray. With over 150,000 movies and TV episodes, Amazon Instant Prime is one of the widely used video subscription services in the U.S. Subscribers can rent or purchase content on Kindle Fire and iOS devices as well as a whole range of different gadgets.
