Sharp Introduces Aquos Mini SHL24

aquos-mini-shl22Sharp has always been at the forefront of display technology, even more so when it comes to its range of smartphones and tablets. Well, if you have seen an IGZO display in real life, you would most probably be blown away by what you see, and their latest handset to hit the market comes in the form of the Aquos mini SHL24. Just where does the “mini” bit come in? I suppose this is due to its 4.5″ 1080p display, not to mention the inclusion of an EDGEST design, which is more or less a minimized level of thickness in its bezel from three sides – and they are on the left, right, and top.

This near bezel-less design has certainly helped its overall dimensions shrink, where it measures a mere 2.48″ (63mm) wide and tips the scales at 4oz (115g). In a nutshell, it is as tall and nearly as wide as an iPhone 5s. Other hardware specifications of this bad boy include a quad-core 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB RAM, and 16GB of internal memory that will be accompanied by a 13MP shooter with f/1.9 aperture at the back. The display itself has a whopping 487ppi pixel density, and it ought to hit the market some time later this March in pink, blue, yellow green, and white shades.
