LG G3 Rumored For June

lg_g3_conceptEarlier this year and ahead of MWC 2014, LG announced their latest flagship handset, the LG G Pro 2 which is  the successor to last year’s LG G Pro. From what we can tell, based on LG’s timetable from 2013, is that the South Korean manufacturer tends to release flagship devices twice a year.

We saw the LG G Pro launched earlier in the year, which was then followed up by the LG G2. What this means is that later this year, we can look forward to the LG G3 as well, but when exactly? Well according to the latest rumors, it seems that we can look forward to the handset as soon as June 2014.

While we’re sure many are looking forward to the handset, launching it in June 2014 means that LG G Pro 2 customers will only have a short period of time before their device is technically replaced by the LG G3. The June launch is also a couple of months earlier than expected, but since these are just rumors, take it with a grain of salt for now.

From what we know so far about the LG G3, it will feature upgraded specs over the LG G2. This could come in the form of a larger display, a bump up to 5.5-inches versus the 5.2-inch display of the LG G2, and possibly even sport a QHD display. However based on the phones we’ve seen to date, it seems that LG could keep to a Full HD display instead.

Other rumored specs includes the possibility that LG could use their own Odin octa-core processors, an upgraded camera, more RAM, and will most likely feature the latest Android build. Either way we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more info, but in the meantime do you think launching the LG G3 in June could sort of be ripping off LG G Pro 2 customers?
