HTC One Mini 2 Makes GCF Appearance

The HTC One Mini 2 which has been tipped by many quarters to make an official appearance later in the month has already decided to appear over at the GCF. The GCF is short for Global Certification Forum, where this particular body is said to be an official “independent certification scheme for mobile phones and wireless devices that are based on 3GPP standards”, and hence an appearance there would more or less signal the official existence of the much talked about HTC One Mini 2. Now, this is not necessarily a bad thing now, is it?

Things do point to this particular version of the HTC One Mini 2 which was certified by the GCF being an European model, considering how it will feature the LTE bands that do see action mainly in Europe (bands 3, 7, 8 and 20). Still, that alone should not be taken as official confirmation that folks living across the pond in the U.S. will not be getting a variant or version that they can call their own. In fact, there has been whispers going around that Verizon might just offer the HTC One Mini 2 when it finally arrives.

Rumored hardware specifications for the alleged HTC One Mini 2 include a 4.5” 720p display, a 13MP shooter at the back sans UltraPixel technology, a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB RAM, and 16GB of internal memory.
