Next-Gen Nokia X Phones To Gain Home Button (Rumor)

nokia-x-7While Microsoft’s complete and total acquisition of Nokia’s Devices and Service division finished in April last month, this does not mean that Nokia will no longer work on Android-powered smartphones. In one of the latest reports from BGR India, it seems that there will be a next generation Nokia X range that are in the works, where these rumored handsets are touted to arrive with a built-in home button, now how about that?

Should such rumors be true, then it would mean that Nokia would have scored a first with the Nokia X family. The report which surfaced cited anonymous sources, where it touted that majority of Nokia X owners were not too happy with the fact that there was only one back button located at the bottom of the handset, so the next generation Nokia X could jolly well sport a physical home button in due time.

Of course, with the existing Nokia X, pressing on the back button for longer than usual would redirect users to the Nokia X home screen, which means more needs to be done to point existing owners of the Nokia X of this little “trick”. It is also assumed that the next generation Nokia X will rely on a forked version of Google’s Android operating system accompanied by its own user interface.
