Samsung SM-G750, SM-N910, SM-G870 Headed For AT&T And Sprint [Rumor]

samsung logoThe Samsung Galaxy S5 Active is a handset that we have been hearing about for a while now, although we have yet to see it launched. It was rumored a couple of months ago that the handset could be making its way onto AT&T and Sprint, and a recent tweet by @evleaks (who was the original leaker of the previous story) has “confirmed” that with model numbers.

According to @evleaks, AT&T will be getting the Samsung SM-G750 and SM-N910, although we’re not sure which device the latter belongs to. As for Sprint, they will be getting the SM-G870 which is speculated to be the CDMA model of the Galaxy S5 Active, or as @evleaks speculates, a Sport version of the Samsung Galaxy S5.

Given that the Galaxy Note’s model number is the SM-N900, it has been speculated that the SM-N910 could be a variant of the Galaxy Note, although we’re not sure if it is a variant of a possible new model, although it does seem a bit early for a new model. In any case not much is known about the Galaxy S5 Active for now..

Apart from its rumored specs, which is essentially a dumbed down version of the Galaxy S5, we have to wonder what other features it could bring to the table that would make it a “Active” device, especially since the Galaxy S5 already has both water and dust resistant features. Either way we’ll be keeping our eyes and ears peeled, so check back with us at a later date for the details.
