Well it looks like Microsoft has something similar planned for Xbox One gamers. According to a report post on Reddit (via Eurogamer), it seems that Microsoft has begun trialing a new program in which gamers are allowed to download games and play them for free for a limited time, thus allowing gamers to experience the game in full before deciding if they should buy it.
According to the listing, it was found under the Xbox One’s Games with Gold section and is called “Free Play Day with Gold”, suggesting that you might need an Xbox Live Gold account if you wish to take advantage of this program. Microsoft themselves were a little surprised that the feature went live this early, but did confirm its existence by promising that an official announcement would be made shortly.
In any case we guess we’ll just have to wait for the official announcement to see the finer details of this program, but what do you guys think? Any Xbox Live Gold gamers looking forward to this new program from Microsoft?
