There’s a bit of good news today for Sprint subscribers who are rocking a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The carrier has started rolling out the Android 4.4.4 update for Galaxy Note 3. Its the latest iteration of Android OS and will remain so until Google releases Android L in the next couple of months. The update adds a couple of new features to this device and also brings fixes as well as certain enhancements for the system.

For the past few months the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has been running on Android 4.4.2. This update finally pushes the device to Android’s latest iteration which apart from everything else brings some rather important security fixes.

The update adds Knox 2.0 suite to Galaxy Note 3 on Sprint which should offer improved security and separation between personal and work data on one single device. Kids Mode is included in the update as well, it has a separate UI and pre-approved apps that kids can use without posing any threat to sensitive data stored on the device.

The previous update for Galaxy Note 3 on Sprint brough Wi-Fi calling support. Recently the carrier announced that its launching international Wi-Fi calling and with this update that feature lands on the Note 3. HD voice icon and Google Security Patches are also included in Android 4.4.4 for Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

Connect to a Wi-Fi network before you get down to installing this update on the phablet, it wouldn’t hurt to have the device plugged in while its updating the software.
