Toshiba Chromebook 2 Announced

Toshiba Chromebook 2Late last month, the folks over at Toshiba decided to announce the Toshiba Chromebook CB30-007, which would be able to handle most ordinary computing tasks without missing a beat. However, here we are with word that there is a brand new Chromebook from Toshiba revealed today, and it does not deal so much with a difficult to remember model name, but rather, gets straight to the point in the form of the Toshiba Chromebook 2.

What would make the Toshiba Chromebook 2 endearing to those who want a decent computing device that does all the relevant basics with aplomb, and yet does not cost a bomb? For starters, how about a lovely 13” display that is housed within a compact 12” chassis? There will be a couple of Chromebook 2 models available, with the first of the two being an entry level model that sports a standard HD display, while there will also be a premium model which will boast of a brilliant Full HD (1920 x 1080 resolution) display alongside IPS technology.

Regardless of which particular model you decide to part with your money for, both of them will come with a sound system that has been specially tuned by the folks over at Skullcandy, delivering audio with attacking bass, natural vocals and precision highs while ushering audio performance in a Chromebook to new levels. The stylish looking chassis itself sports a fanless design for quiet operation even as you work late into the wee hours of the morning, and from $249 a pop, you can choose from Charcoal, Aqua and Rose colors.

Other hardware specifications include an Intel Celeron processor, Wi-Fi connectivity, 2GB or 4GB RAM, a battery life capability of up to 11.5 hours, an HD webcam, a single USB 3.0 port, one USB 2.0 port, an HDMI output, an SD memory card slot, and a security lock slot.
