We reported yesterday that Ubisoft had said it would release Assassin’s Creed Unity patch 4 on December 15th. It was said that this patch would fix majority of the problems that gamers have faced with this title. Today Ubisoft confirmed that the patch is being delayed because they need more time to work on it so that “we can give you the improvements we’ve promised.”

Assassin’s Creed Unity was riddled with bugs and issues when it first came out. Ubisoft started “furiously working” to resolve all of the issues but still gamers aren’t completely satisfied with the progress made over the past few weeks. The experience isn’t top notch, which many would have expected on a title exclusive only to next-gen consoles, which is why Ubisoft is hard at work now to make things better.

The fixes are comprehensive which is why more time is required to ensure it takes care of most of the problems that gamers are facing with this title. Ubisoft has said that it is committed to delivering major performance improvements, “which requires that we refurbish the Paris map.” This will take a few more days to bring the game up to “the high level of quality our players deserve.

The developer has apologized for the inconvenience caused to gamers, and has also offered the first DLC called Dead Kings for free. Ubisoft hasn’t confirmed the new release date for Assassin’s Creed Unity patch 4.
