Toshiba KIRA Ultrabooks Get Updated

kira-updatedUltrabooks are fun to use – they take so little time to boot up, and are lightweight enough for you to tote around without breaking your back, especially when you are on the showfloor walking around. Well, Toshiba of Japan has their KIRAbook range of devices that sport both of the qualities mentioned, and this time around, the KIRA range has been updated to boast of the fifth generation Intel Core “Broadwell” processors underneath the hood.

Other hardware specifications in the new models would include a 13.3”, 1920 x 1080 pixel or 2560 x 1440 pixel displays, 8GB RAM, 128GB to 256GB of internal memory, and Intel Core i7 Broadwell processors.

Having unveiled the latest batch of Toshiba Dynabook KIRA laptops in Japan not too long ago, they look set to go on sale in the Far East from approximately $1,350 (after conversion) and above. So far, there has been no whispers of a US release just yet where these notebooks are concerned, although we do know that Toshiba KIRAbook models have been spotted in the US market for several years now. These tend to be light, thin and powerful, and if my memory serves me correctly, the KIRA family of Ultrabooks and notebooks happened to be the one of the first few Windows notebooks that arrived with WQHD or higher resolution displays.
