Moto X Finally Gets Hint Of Lollipop Update

moto-x-2014-review-7Motorola might have come close in delivering their promise to bring the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to its entire range of Moto-branded smartphones, but there is still one more handset that has yet to benefit from this promise – the first generation Moto X, of course. Apart from that, there is also the Moto E that has yet to check out the wonders of Android 5.0 Lollipop, but the testing phase has already kicked off, which means it is just a matter of time before the update rolls out. Motorola has not neglected the first generation Moto X, make no mistake about it, as it has been revealed on Twitter that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Moto X is currently under development, with Motorola hard at work on fixing compatibility issues with the SoC.

The first generation Motorola Moto X was powered by a Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset that sported a dual-core 1.7GHz Krait processor, Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB RAM. Further tweaking is required as it looks as though the vanilla Android 5.0 Lollipop version has come up to a head against the hardware within. Well, better than never in this particular case would echo loud and true, don’t you think so? Hopefully Motorola gets things in order sooner rather than later.
