Samsung Teases “Intelligent” Camera For The Galaxy S6

samsung logoThe Samsung Galaxy S6 is shaping up to be a rather exciting device. We have heard rumors of it sporting a metal body and a brand new design, and yesterday we also found out some additional details about the phone’s camera which is said to pack a 20MP sensor and will come with a “Pro” mode with manual controls.

As if those details weren’t enough, it seems that Samsung has come forward to tease some details of their own. According to Samsung’s Dong Hoon Jang who spoke about the company’s cameras, “It will be intelligent and do all the thinking for users, allowing them to take amazing pictures under any conditions, without having to worry about anything more than just pressing the shutter button.”

Jang also seemed to confirm earlier rumors that the Samsung Galaxy S6 could use the same 5MP front-facing camera found in the Galaxy A-series of smartphones.”Taking this even further, the Galaxy A7, A5 and A3 all feature a monster 5MP front-facing camera for even better-looking selfies. While earlier front-facing cameras were regarded as an “extra”, superfluous to the “main” camera on the rear, this is clearly no longer the case anymore.”

In any case it will be interesting to see how the new cameras will fare, so if the Galaxy S6 or the Galaxy S Edge is a phone you are considering as your next purchase, do check back with us during Samsung’s MWC event on the 1st of March for all the details.
