lumia-640-xl-10[MWC 2015] Well, we do know that from an accidental leak, the Lumia 640 XL as well as Lumia 640 are now made official – although we will not be able to get our hands on those, not at least until later this year, but the waiting period will not be all that long, so no worries about that. In fact, major carriers are already starting to shape up announcements concerning both handsets, and AT&T is first off the blocks to declare that they are the earliest U.S. carrier to offer the Lumia 640 XL.

However, the more important details such as pricing and availability remain to be known, so we will just have to sit tight and stay tuned. As at press time, however, AT&T does offer the largest selection of Windows Phone devices as opposed to any other operator over in the U.S.

The Lumia 640 XL will come with an optimized 5.7-inch HD display which ought to be more than sufficient to help you get the work done, especially when you are on the outside and far away from a desktop. Cortana, a personal digital assistant, will also make life a whole lot more convenient for you as “she” will be able to screen your calls, keep track of the things that interest you, as well as offer people-based reminders.

Just to refresh your memory, the Lumia 640 XL does come with a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and has a 13MP autofocus rear camera, while selfie lovers would definitely fall in love with the 5MP wide-angle front camera. [Press Release]
