Galaxy S6 To Come With Milk Music And Video Pre-Installed

Before Samsung’s latest smartphones were unveiled it was rumored that the company has a rather strict diet plan for its TouchWiz software. It was rumored to remove all bloat from the software and even limit the number of apps that would be pre-installed on the devices. Two of Samsung’s services appear to have made the cut because Milk Music and Milk Video will both be pre-installed on Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge when they hit the market next month.

Milk Music is Samsung’s Pandora competitor which was launched early last year. The company’s customers can use the service on their devices to listen to personalized radio streams for free without being pestered by advertisements.

Late last year Samsung followed up with the launch of Milk Video. It is more of a video aggregation service which also provides exclusive content meant for Samsung’s devices.

These services are limited to select Samsung mobile devices and the apps are not released for any other Android devices.

Milk Music and Milk Video have never been pre-installed on a Samsung smartphone or tablet before, so this latest move shows that the company is getting serious about these services, and wants to bring in a lot of new users who pick up its latest smartphones.

Since the global firmwares for Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge don’t have these apps it appears that Milk Music and Milk Video will only be pre-installed on units sold in the United States and South Korea.
