CBS All Access Launches On Roku

CBS today announced that its internet TV streaming service is coming to Roku. The service, called CBS All Access, was launched a few months back. It costs $5.99 per month and allows subscribers to view current and past CBS TV shows as well as watch the network live as it airs.

Now this isn’t the only internet TV streaming service out there. Sony has one of its own and so does Dish. This is an option for people who just want to watch CBS live without having to pay for an expensive cable subscription.

Or you can mix and match with a service like Sling TV, which for $20 per month provides access to a decent number of channels, though none from major networks like CBS, Fox or NBC.

All Access has been available to mobile users through apps for iOS and Android, now Roku owners will be able to stream the service to their big TVs as well.

Keep in mind though that live CBS is only available in 14 markets as of now including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, San Francisco, Boston, Detroit, Minneapolis, Miami, Denver, Sacramento, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore. The network says that it will flip the switch on this feature in more markets soon.
