Possible Sony Xperia Z4 Concepts Spotted On WikiLeaks

xperia z4 conceptYesterday we reported that WikiLeaks had released an online database in which users could search for leaked Sony documents. Now it seems that amongst those documents were several concept images that some have speculated could be for the upcoming Sony Xperia Z4. The images are also consistent with what an earlier rumor from yesterday that suggested that the handset could feature an all-metal body along with a fingerprint sensor.

Now as you can see in the image above, it certainly looks nowhere near a press rendering that Sony might release to the public. Rather it looks more like a concept rendering of what the phone could look like, however given that it could be a concept, there’s no telling if this was just a mockup created by designers as a possible design suggestion, or if it could be the real thing and that’s what the actual phone will look like.

The design is rather sleek and is rather a huge departure from Sony’s previous Xperia Z handsets, which for the most part have remained largely similar in terms of design across the multiple generations, save for some slight changes here and there. In the concept, it also shows a redesigned power button that looks like it could be large enough to fit a fingerprint sensor, assuming the rumors are true.

However like we said, chances are these are merely concept renderings and might not be representative of the actual product. No word on when the Sony Xperia Z4 will be officially announced, but a recent rumor has it pegged for the 20th of April although we are a tad skeptical about that date, but with the 20th coming up on us soon, we guess we’ll find out soon enough.
