Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate Will Let You Play As A Woman

Ubisoft drew a lot of criticism last year for not including playable female protagonists in Assassin’s Creed: Unity and it appears that it’s making amends in the next title that’s due to be officially unveiled soon. Several reports claim that the new title is going to be called Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate and that it will be set in Victorian London. A latest report claims that in AC: Syndicate you will be able to play as a woman.

According to the report players will have access to two main characters in the new title: Jacob and Evie, they’re brother and sister and “they’ll be heavily involved in the criminal underworld of Victorian London.”

A person familiar with AC: Syndicate tells the scribe that the game will balance story missions between the brother and sister about 75% to 25%. Oh, and it’s said that the title won’t have multiplayer modes, but you will be able to switch between Evie and Jacob when exploring the open world between missions.

This certainly isn’t the first time that Ubisoft has added a playable female assassin in an AC series title. Assassin’s Creed: Liberation, which came out in 2012, had an assassin named Aveline. After the ruckus caused last year, the change will likely be welcomed by the community.
