lou-left-behind-dlThe team over at Naughty Dog happen to be sweating bucketloads – out of excitement and not fear, of course, with word that The Last of Us: Left Behind, which is the critically-acclaimed and award-winning single-player chapter to title The Last of Us, will be released to the masses in the form of a standalone download over on the PlayStation Store this coming May 12th.

The Last of Us: Left Behind standalone will not only be available on the Sony PS4, but also on the older Sony PS3 as well, with an asking price of $9.99, now how about that? For the price of a meal, you can spend many more hours of screen time with the game – certainly a thought to savor, don’t you think so? In addition, to sweeten the deal, the price of the Left Behind Add-on on the PS3 will be dropped to the same price on that day too. Do bear in mind that this pricing will be for the US only, so if you do not happen to live in this part of the world, you might want to check out your local PlayStation Store concerning regional pricing details. At least there is one less disc for you to worry about. [Press Release]
