Apple Now Including Videos In Its “Shot On iPhone 6” Website

While Apple did not increase the megapixel count in the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, the Cupertino company did introduce better camera hardware and features, with one of the more notable features being optical image stabilization. This allowed photographers and videographers to snap photos without worrying that the resulting footage will be too blurry or shaky.

Now as you might already know, Apple has a microsite which curates photos taken by the iPhone 6 and now it looks like they are expanding the microsite to include videos taken by the iPhone 6 with a tagline that reads, “The camera that changed photos does the same for video.” Like we said optical image stabilization is one of the defining features in the new iPhones so it wouldn’t be surprising if more videographers started to take advantage of their smartphone.

We have to admit that the videos shot are pretty impressive. The videos for the most part take advantage of optical image stabilization, but at the same time demonstrate the various video features available on the phone, such as slow-motion effects and timelapse. Given that there are many iPhone photographers these days, it wouldn’t be surprising that the new video capabilities of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will inspire more iPhone-only videographers down the road.
