Fallout Shelter Continues To Dominates Charts Around The World

fallout shelterDuring E3 2015, Bethesda not only announced Fallout 4, but to everyone’s surprise they announced Fallout Shelter, a mobile game that resembled other sims such as Tiny Tower and SimCity, except basing it on the Fallout universe which is essentially a post-apocalyptic world. The game proved to be a hit and even surpassed Candy Crush Saga in revenue.

Now if you were thinking that maybe the game was a fluke, think again as it would seem that Fallout Shelter has managed to continue its dominance and is topping app charts around the world. According to reports, the game has been found to be the most downloaded apps in 25 out of the 48 countries that the app is charting at the moment.

Bethesda had also previously shared that there are over 70 million play sessions a day which is mighty impressive for a game that has only been launch. Fallout Shelter is a free-to-play game and there are in-game transactions where gamers can purchase lunchboxes. These lunchboxes provide gamers with extra characters, weapons, costumes, and bottle caps (which is the currency used in the game).

However the game is playable without lunchboxes although it does speed things up a bit if you were to spend money on it. It is also currently an iOS-exclusive but Bethesda is aiming to bring it onto Android devices in the next few months.
