NVIDIA Is Helping Fix Batman: Arkham Knight For PC

Batman: Arkham Knight is a very solid game which didn’t face post-launch issues that many other major titles have had to put up with, but this smooth experience was limited to console players. The PC port of this title was riddled with bugs since the day it came out, it was later reported that Warner Bros. was aware of the problems but decided to push ahead with the launch any way. Batman: Arkham Knight for PC was done by another studio and while work continues to fix it, NVIDIA is also helping it to make sure that the issues are taken care of for good.

Warner Bros. has already suspended sales of Batman: Arkham Knight for PC and has also delayed the DLC launch for this port, fortunately everything went relatively smoothly on the console side so the launch wasn’t a complete failure.

Tom Peterson from NVIDIA revealed on MMORPG.com that they’re “fixing a ton of things that are not necessarily related to us,” some of it may be related to NVIDIA’s driver and some not.

Peterson says that at the end of the day it’s the game that’s in the focus and “we’re going to make it great,” adding that Warner Bros. made a mistake getting the game out when it wasn’t fully performance optimized for PC.

NVIDIA will be deploying its QA resources and engineers to “make that game as good as it possibly can be.” Peterson puts his confidence in the process and say that people are going to be delighted when the game is all fixed up and Warner Bros. resumes sales, but it’s unclear how long the process is going to take, with recent reports suggesting it might not happen until the fall.
