batman-arkham-knight-2PC gamers who have been looking forward to getting Batman: Arkham Knight have probably been warned several times to hold off on purchasing it until the game is patched. However in a surprising move, Warner Bros. has decided to make that decision for you and has announced that they will be suspending sales of the PC version until further notice.

This was posted on the official forums in which it reads, “We take these issues very seriously and have therefore decided to suspend future game sales of the PC version while we work to address these issues to satisfy our quality standards.  We greatly value our customers and know that while there are a significant amount of players who are enjoying the game on PC, we want to do whatever we can to make the experience better for PC players overall.”

The publisher has also noted that gamers who want a refund can do so by heading on over to Steam (gamers will need to have clocked less than 2 hours in the game and must make the request within 14 days of purchase in order to qualify for a refund) or take it back to the store where they have purchased it. For those who’d rather wait, Warner Bros. has advised that you remain patient until it can all be sorted out.

Issues with the PC version of the game was discovered on launch day itself where gamers reported that the PC version had the fps capped to 30fps, and oddly enough despite running some high-end rigs, the game stuttered and dropped to as low as 4fps in some cases. The developer Rocksteady cited AMD GPUs as the main reason and advised users to lower their settings incensing players even further.

In any case despite how good the game might be or how pretty it looks, no doubt this incident will leave a permanent stain on the franchise, but here’s hoping that a fix will be issued in a timely manner.
