Start10 Brings The Windows 7 Start Menu Back To Windows 10

Windows 7 was pretty much the last time we saw the Start Menu. Microsoft had initially tried to do away with it in Windows 8 but it did not sit so well. They later tried to introduce a variant of it but unfortunately that did not work out so great either, so with Windows 10, Microsoft decided to finally give in to the demands of its users.

However with Windows 10, your Start Menu isn’t quite the same as Windows 7. It looks the same in terms of shape and display, but its design is different and to a certain extent still relies on live tiles like those in Windows 8.1. The good news is that if you’ve upgraded to Windows 10 but are sorely missing the Start Menu from Windows 7, Stardock has your back.

The company has released a Start Menu alternative for Windows 10 called Start10. As you can see in the screenshot above, this basically replaces the current Windows 10 Start Menu with something many users are already familiar with. However if you feel that maybe you don’t want to go too old school, fret not as Start10 is completely customizable.

Users will be able to manipulate and design their Start Menu any way they like. They can go for a more modern look, an old school look, or create a Start Menu completely from scratch with access to features, apps, and settings that they use often. They can customize its color, texture, and more.

Unfortunately Start10 is not free and will cost users $4.99, but if you think that’s worth it, then head on over to Stardock’s website for the details.
