Microsoft today released a pilot feature which aims to save you time and money when shopping online when using the company’s new Microsoft Edge web browser in Windows 10. The feature enables Cortana to find the best coupons for a retailer without you having to leave the retailer’s website. Microsoft is just beginning to roll out this feature to get feedback, the initial release includes coupons for major retailers like Best Buy, Macy’s and Staples.

When you visit the website of a supported retailer Cortana will automatically alert you that there are coupons available for additional discounts should you be willing to make a purchase.

When you click on the Cortana icon these coupons and offers will be displayed in the right pane inside the same window, thus you get all of the relevant information right there and then without having to leave the window.

Cortana is deeply integrated in the new web browser on Windows 10 and it provides many interesting features to users in order to significantly improve their browsing experience.

For example the Ask Cortana feature lets you highlight the word and right click to ask the digital personal assistant more about something that you’ve come across.

Cortana is currently available in select markets but Microsoft is actively working not only to add more functionality but to also bring it to more markets across the globe.
