There’s a real mystery gripping Star Wars fans across the globe, they just can’t seem to figure out if Luke Skywalker will make an appearance in the upcoming movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The movie’s trailer didn’t reveal Skywalker’s whereabouts nor did the commercials, the pivotal character isn’t even on the movie’s poster, which has led many to speculate about his fate in the movie. At least the fans can rest assured that Skywalker will return to the big screen in Star Wars: Episode VIII.

Star Wars: Episode VIII is the sequel that’s currently set for release in summer 2017, a first script draft for the movie is ready, however no major details about the plot or the characters have been revealed just yet.

Mark Hamill, the actor who plays Skywalker, has already said that he can not say anything about the fate his character in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. However he has dropped a major hint over Twitter that his character will feature in the sequel that’s due in two years from now.

(Spoiler Alert!) Hamill’s tweet does drop a major hint about the appearance of his character in the next movie, though it remains to be seen if Skywalker will be alive in Star Wars: Episode VIII or if he’s going to make appearances like Obi-Wan did previously in the franchise.
