T-Mobile’s Nexus 6 Android 6.0 Update Approved, Rolling Out Soon

nexus-6-review-material-design-1The thing about buying phones tied to carriers is that sometimes you can get a really good deal and not have to pay the entire fee upfront. Instead you can opt to pay it back over the course of the next 12-24 months. The downside is that you’re not subjected to the carrier’s decision as to when phone updates can be released.

We suppose to be fair since the carriers sold the phone, they’d want to be responsible as to whether or not the update will work and not break the device, but sometimes this results in longer waiting times. That being said the good news for Nexus 6 owners is that if you have bought the phone from T-Mobile and you’re looking forward to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, you won’t have to wait much long.

According to a recent tweet by T-Mobile’s Des, it seems that the update for the phone has been approved and that it should begin rolling out soon. His tweet reads, “Great News! The @TMobile #Nexus6 Marshmallow SW MRA58X has been approved & should start rolling out soon!” Unfortunately a specific date for its release was not mentioned, but like we said given that it has been approved we probably shouldn’t have to wait much longer, so Nexus 6 users on T-Mobile’s network can keep an eye out for its release.
