Elder Scrolls Online For PC And Xbox One Will Be Free For A While

elder-scrolls-onlineWhile it is generally accepted that there is no such thing as a free lunch in this world, this does not mean that goodies cannot come one’s way from time to time. It looks like there is a huge push to recruit more players for Elder Scrolls Online, as Bethesda/Zenimax has announced a free-play weekend on both the PC and Xbox One platforms. There will be no similar gratuity granted to PS4 owners due to the obstacles that PlayStation Plus has, although one cannot help but wonder just how far Zenimax is coming along where co-operating with Sony on a technical solution is concerned.

The Elder Scrolls Online free weekend is not just all free gaming sessions, as it also involves a $1 million prize draw that gamers will be part of – simply by playing the game. Talk about an added incentive! This will comprise of folks who play during the free weekend, where all you need to do is to register for an account, give the game a go over this coming weekend and you will be in the running to pocket $1 million if all goes well. Of course, the winner will not get the whole lump sum at once, as it will be paid to you over the course of 20 years at $50 per year.

Inflation’s going to work against the winner in this case, but it is still a sizable sum of money!
