Samsung Galaxy S7’s Design Won’t Be Too Different [Rumor]

Samsung-Galaxy-S6-Edge-Plus-02Unlike Apple, companies like Samsung tend to change up the design of their phones every month. This keeps things fresh and interesting, but according to a recent rumor, it has been suggested that the Galaxy S7 might not be too different from its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S6.

The rumors claim that the reason behind this is because Samsung wants to keep costs down, so instead of redesigning the phone and having to create new molds and manufacturing processes, Samsung is said to be more interested in taking that money and putting it towards something else, like other innovative features other than just its looks.

It is unclear as to what kind of innovative features we are looking at, but some of the rumors have suggested that this could include a pressure-sensitive display as being one of them. Could this ultimately end up backfiring on Samsung? It seems unlikely. Like we said, companies like Apple tend to keep their designs around for at least two generations.

Other Android OEMs like HTC and Sony also typically don’t deviate too far. In fact Sony’s been keeping the same design for the past few years, albeit with some improvements and changes here and there, but overall it isn’t too drastic. Either way take it with a grain of salt for now, but if the Galaxy S7 ends up looking like the Galaxy S6, would that be a deal breaker?
