911-turboAh, the need for speed is something that us humans find it difficult to relinquish or quench, hence the question always arises – can it go any faster? Porsche has answered that question by preparing the debuts of the Porsche 911 Turbo And Turbo S at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show next year. We are talking about having more horses underneath the hood, a sharpened design and race car technology.

If one were to compare it to the previous generation Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S, both variants will benefit from an additional 20 HP courtesy of modified inlet ports located in the cylinder head, in addition to new injection nozzles and higher fuel pressure. The asking price for the 911 Turbo model stands at $160,195 a pop, while the Turbo S model will require you to top up that amount by another $28,900. Should you love to cruise around in a soft top, then do be prepared to fork out an additional $12,300.

The new 911 Turbo will then boast of 540 HP with the ability to hit 60 MPH in a matter of 2.9 seconds, maxing out at 197 MPH. As for the additional 40 HP in the 911 Turbo S, that model will hit 60 MPH in 2.8 seconds, with a top speed to 204 MPH – clearly allowing it to be in the same league as of other high powered supercars.
