Samsung Galaxy S6 Gets Marshmallow Beta Program

samsung logo 4Samsung of South Korea has apparently kicked off an Android 6.0 Marshmallow campaign for its smartphones, in particular the Samsung Galaxy S6 as well as the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge. The whole idea of this particular campaign is to ensure that the quality of future firmware updates will be of the highest quality possible, as it will be based on the user feedback from the people who participate in the public beta test.

Samsung did run into its fair share of issues if one were to take the more recent Android Lollipop updates into consideration, and these have more often than not ended up in suspensions and delays. Of course users are not going to be too happy with the result, who have already performed the update installation and would find it rather challenging for a downgrade.

Hence ,Samsung has taken the step to open up a beta channel so that beta testing for the latest updates can happen. With Android Marshmallow being the most recent OS version, Samsung looks to be working on issuing it to a slew of smartphones, with the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge being first in line to obtain this major firmware update. Are you stoked yet if you happen to own either one of the two handsets?
