iPhone 7 Rumored To Sport Larger Battery, 256GB Storage

iPhone-6-review-8If there is a complaint about Apple’s iPhone series is that it does not pack enough storage, and that its battery life is lacking. Storage is an issue because while the iPhone 6 started offering 128GB of storage, it is incredibly expensive which is why it isn’t surprising that many users are opting for the cheaper 16GB model.

However according to the latest rumors, it has been suggested that Apple could be increasing storage further to a whopping 256GB. It is unclear if the base 16GB will remain, or if Apple will make 32GB its base storage, but at the same time we’d hate to think how expensive the 256GB model will be. That being said, for those who are complaining about a lack of microSD, we suppose 256GB will be a good choice, albeit an expensive one.

In addition to the rumors of larger storage, there are also claims that Apple could increase the size of the battery to 3,100mAh. Right now the largest battery offered by Apple is in the iPhone 6s Plus which is of the 2,750mAh battery. However MacRumors points out that this claim is a little questionable, or at least contradictory.

This is because there are rumors that Apple wants to slim down the iPhone further, and removing the headphone port is one of the ways they could be going around it. However a larger battery means it would be thicker, so we’re not sure how Apple plans to achieve that, which also means that one of the two rumors could be wrong, or maybe even both. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but how does a 256GB iPhone with a 3,100mAh sound to you?
