Panasonic_Lumix_DMC_ZS60_main[CES 2016] While some might prefer lugging around a DSLR and a bag full of lenses on holiday, others might not. In fact there are probably many professional photographers out there who have themselves a compact camera that they use on holiday, since really at the end of the day it’s not what gear you have, but how you use it, right?

That being said if you’d like a compact camera for your travel purposes, Panasonic has recently announced its latest camera in the form of the Lumix DMC-ZS60. As you can see in the photo above, this camera is sleek and compact, so bringing it with you on holiday should not really be that much of a chore.

In terms of specs, the camera will pack an 18MP 1/2.3-inch MOS sensor, so if you were hoping for 1-inch sensors you’d have to look elsewhere. It also sports a Leica-branded lens capable of 30x zoom and a hybrid optical image stabilization feature, so you don’t have to worry about camera shake unless you do it on purpose.

It also comes with a 3-inch touchscreen, an electronic viewfinder, wireless control via its accompanying app, and also the ability to capture video in 4K resolution at 30fps, or Full HD at 60fps if you prefer a more buttery smooth video. The Lumix DMC-ZS60 is expected to be made available in mid-March where it will be priced at $449.99.
