Yahoo today announced that it’s rolling out new updates to its mobile app and homepage in the United States. The focus of these updates is to enable users to find, consume and engage with news, content and video that they care about in one place with the experience being consistent across all platforms.

Yahoo has made it much easier to read through articles in less time. Instead of opening them in individual browser tabs articles can now be read inline. The news stream will be tailored to users and will recommend content better suited to them as they keep on using the app and homepage, allowing it to automatically determine what they may or may not like to see.

It’s easier to engage and converse with users about particular topics and stories. With this update comments will surface directly inline so that users can view comments from the community in one place.

New updates will be front and center, allowing users to follow breaking news and real-time events, instant notifications for latest developments will be pushed to users when a story they’re following is updated.

This new experience is live today for users in the United States through the Yahoo homepage as well as the official Yahoo app for iOS and Android.
