Multiple Apple Services Down Today

It’s not uncommon for Apple’s online services to experience some downtime but users won’t like it when this starts to happen too often. Some of Apple’s online services were down today, services like the iTunes Store, iOS and Mac App Store and even the Apple TV service. The downtime made it impossible for users to access content or make purchases, very frustrating to say the least.

Service disruptions like these are not only bad for Apple but for developers as well because if people are not able to make purchases on Apple’s content stores then developers are missing out on potential revenue even if the downtime only exists for a couple of hours.

Reports of the downtime started trickling in by 10 am ET and the issue hasn’t been completely fixed yet, a glance at Apple’s System Status page will tell you that. Several sub-services are affected by this downtime as well including iTunes Match, iBooks Store and iTunes in the Cloud.

There’s no word from Apple as yet on how many users are affected by this latest downtime and what is actually causing this issue, obviously, it also hasn’t revealed when users can expect all of these services to be properly online once again.
