Nikon Coolpix A900 Can Capture 4K Video At 30fps

nikon_coolpix_a900_3Earlier we reported that Nikon announced a slew of compact cameras with 1-inch sensors in the form of the Nikon DL lineup. However if the camera and its specs aren’t to your liking, you might be interested to learn that Nikon has also announced a bunch of new Coolpix cameras as well, although admittedly the A900 is the most interesting of the bunch.

If you are a photographer who is also looking to capture video on their cameras, the Nikon Coolpix has the ability to capture video in 4K. The best part is that the framerates offered by the camera is that of 30fps which is very decent for such a small camera. Of course 60fps would be preferred but considering its size and price, it does seem like a pretty good deal.

In addition to being able to capture video at 4K at 30fps, the Nikon Coolpix A900 will also sport a long zoom lens with 35x Optical Zoom. It also packs a 20MP BSI CMOS sensor, and a 3-inch tilting 920-dot LCD display. There is also support for Nikon Snapbridge so users looking to share videos and photos can do so rather easily.

In terms of pricing, the Nikon Coolpix A900 is affordable at $399.95. Like we said, given its price, its features do make the camera seem like a value for money purchase. It is expected to be made available this coming Spring, so keep an eye out for it if it sounds like your kind of device.
