Microsoft did promise to release Windows 10 Mobile early this year but it didn’t really provide a confirmed release date. There have obviously been a lot of rumors about the Windows 10 Mobile release date as many users around the world are waiting for this update to arrive. According to a new report, the Windows 10 Mobile release has been “confirmed” for the very near future.

The report claims, citing a person familiar with the company’s plans, that Microsoft is going to announce the Windows 10 release date on March 17th. Apparently it’s going to start rolling out the update on the very day it confirms the date.

Previous reports have suggested that March might finally bring the much-awaited update for Windows Phone-powered devices. As per a “briefed individual,” Microsoft is only going to confirm the specific Lumia- and Nokia-branded handsets which have been approved for this update in its announcement tomorrow, March 17th.

Microsoft was originally supposed to release Windows 10 Mobile in December last year but it had to delay the release. The company then set an internal release deadline for February 2016 which was missed as well. Hopefully, the information contained in this report is accurate and the company will finally start rolling out Windows 10 Mobile from tomorrow.

There has been no comment from Microsoft on this report and we can’t really expect it to say something if an official announcement is just less than 24 hours away.
