Chrome Extension Lets You Save Stuff To Google

save_to_googleOn mobile devices there’s an app called Pocket that lets you save articles and whatnot for viewing later. This comes in handy if you’re running low on battery or if you’re busy but don’t want to forget about it later when you have more time. Now if you’re looking for a similar experience on your computer, sure there’s Pocket for the PC, but Google has recently launched their own version.

This is essentially an extension for the Chrome browser that when installed, allows users to save anything they want to Google. While it might have been designed for images, the extension will also allow users to save other items such as websites, so just like how Pocket can be used to save items for viewing later on your phone, this is more or less the same feature for your computer.

According to Google’s description, “One-click save: Click the star to save webpages for later viewing. Easily navigate your saves via an intuitive visual UI. One spot for webpages and Images: Your saved webpages and saved images from Google Image Search will live together at google.com/save.”

This extension seems to be an expansion of a similar feature launched last year on mobile devices. The extension for your Chrome browser is obviously free, so if you’re interested in checking it out, then head on over to the Chrome Web Store and install it.
