Uncharted 4’s Day One Patch Weighs In At 5GB

uncharted 4Sometimes games are shipped out without any issue, or at least issues small enough where it can be ignored and patched at a later date. Sometimes some games do come with issues big enough where developers have to prepare a day one patch that will address those issues before players can even begin to play the game.

Now for those of you looking forward to Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, a tweet by AllGamesDelta has revealed that the folks at Naughty Dog have a day one patch waiting for players when they launch the game, and that this patch will weigh in at a whopping 5GB, so if you were hoping to start playing the game straightaway, you might have to do some waiting.

For those wondering why on earth is the day one patch so huge, it is because it brings a ton of features to the game, such as the multiplayer component (which we reckon is pretty important), a single-player “Encounter select” menu, and there will be a host of bonus features that Naughty Dog decided to throw into the mix.

This ranges from Photo Mode, Render Modes, Journal Viewer, Concept Art Galleries, and more. There will also be the usual host of general fixes and improvements that the developers managed to catch after the games had been shipped. Uncharted 4 is due for a release on the 10th of May but it seems that copies were leaked earlier than expected, but it turns out that these units are part of a stolen shipment that Sony had confirmed recently.
