However it looks like TrackR’s future products could come with voice support, or at least that’s what the reports are speculating. According to the word on the street, Amazon is said to be investing anywhere between $250,000 to $500,000 in the company to help extend the reach of Alexa, Amazon’s voice assistant software that is found on the Amazon Echo speakers.
So far Alexa has proven itself to be very useful and can do all kinds of things, from ordering you an Uber ride, to ordering you a pizza, checking up on movie times, and so on. That being said, it is unclear as to how exactly Amazon and TrackR plan to integrate Alexa into products because as of now, both companies have declined to share additional details.
Assuming the reports are true, this wouldn’t be the first time that Alexa has found its way into other products. There is a smartwatch on Indiegogo called the CoWatch that will also integrate Alexa into its software.
